Bytera is the data controller and is fully responsible for the privacy, security, and integrity of any data processed by our applications. Atlassian is not responsible for our data practices.

2. Data We Access & Collect

2.1 Our Atlassian Apps (XPress)

Our apps are built on Atlassian Forge and run entirely within the Atlassian cloud environment. When you use our apps, we may access the following data solely through Atlassian APIs:

  • Confluence content: Page titles, page bodies, and attachments — accessed only when you initiate an export.
  • User context: Your Atlassian account ID and display name — used only to process your request.
  • Space and page metadata: Used to display content selection options within the app.

We do not store, copy, or transfer your Confluence content outside of the Atlassian cloud environment. All data processing happens within Atlassian's secure Forge sandbox. Exported documents are generated in real-time and delivered directly to your browser.

2.2 Our Website

On our website, we may collect:

  • Basic analytics data (page views, device type, country) to improve our services.
  • Information you voluntarily provide via our contact form (name, email, message).

We do not use tracking cookies for advertising purposes.

3. How We Use Information

We use the data we access exclusively for:

  • Providing app functionality (e.g., exporting Confluence pages to PDF).
  • Responding to support requests.
  • Improving our products and user experience.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

4. Data Storage & Location

Our Forge applications process data within Atlassian's cloud infrastructure. We do not maintain separate servers or databases for user data. Atlassian's data residency policies apply.

Website analytics data may be processed in the European Union and/or the United States.

We implement industry-standard security measures:

  • Our apps run in Atlassian's secure Forge environment with enterprise-grade security controls and sandboxed execution.
  • We follow Atlassian's Security Requirements for Marketplace apps.
  • We apply the principle of least privilege — our apps only request the minimum permissions necessary for functionality.
